The Community of Madrid deploys a voice guidance system for blind people on the Metro

The Community of Madrid has extended the Navilens voice guidance system, already installed at bus stops, to the Metro.

This system is aimed at people with visual and cognitive disabilities, who have the possibility of scanning color codes located in the stations, through a mobile application, with a distance of up to 15 meters, and thus be able to locate themselves. For the moment, it has been implemented in some stations of the Madrid Metro, such as Colombia and Aeropuerto T1-T2-T3, and it intends to be extended to all stations on line 8 this May.
