The following lines detail some technical aspects of the Telefunken TM3690 cosi terminal. This terminal includes some functionalities that are closer to a Smartphone such as the possibility of connecting to the internet or access to certain social networks. At the same time, it incorporates some important features in a mobile for the elderly, such as the SOS button, the charging base or the large and contrasting keys.

Buttons and physical appearance
The terminal has large keys with contrast and a folding screen.
Regarding the robustness in its manufacture, we must point out that some parts such as the folding screen seem weaker than in some other models that we have tested.
As a noteworthy point, the phone has a side volume control button, memory keys for M1 and M2 frequent numbers, exclusive camera and social media keys and an on / off switch for the flashlight.

In addition, on the outside it has light signaling for WhatsApp, missed calls and battery charge.
Thanks to its folding mode, the phone has a large screen compared to other models for adults.
Menu and texts
Although the phone is simple in its physical part thanks to its large keyboard and screen, the interaction in some of its menus is complex.
The maximum font size is acceptably large and can be configured.
SOS button
The terminal has a discreet, easy-to-press SOS button.
Pressing this button, if configured correctly, will send a distress message and a trusted contact will be called.
In addition, if activated in the settings, a loud alarm tone is played to alert you around.
The button has responded reliably during our tests.

Calls and SMS
Frequently used numbers work well by continuously pressing the M1 and M2 keys, allowing you to call without having to enter the menus that can be somewhat more complex.
The call volume is adequate and the speakerphone for hands-free operation can be easily activated.
The level of coverage for both calls and 3G could present a problem in remote areas.
Sending an SMS like other functionalities on this phone is not something simple and requires some learning time. This shows us something that we have been observing in various terminals, despite the complexity of touch screens for the elderly, many times the menus of telephones with this type of screen are more intuitive than those of telephones adapted to a physical keyboard .
Camera
The camera is good for recording video and taking photos. It is one of the easiest features to use and has a dedicated button on the keyboard, but it could have a somewhat higher resolution for the price of the terminal.
Manual
The product incorporates a manual, but the print is very small.
FM radio and audio playback
Within the multimedia menu we can find the FM radio
The FM radio tunes well although it is necessary for its operation to connect a headset with a microphone and a Jack connection that is included in its box.
It is possible to listen to the radio through the loudspeaker but always with headphones connected that act as an antenna.
It is also allowed to record audio from the radio.
In addition, within the multimedia menu there is another functionality that allows the storage and listening of audio files.
Charging base
The charging base fits very well in the terminal, being important to make sure that the phone is charged through the external LED indicator.

Battery
The battery has a capacity of 1000 mAh but they do not give as much of themselves as in other phones since it has a high consumption perhaps due to its color screen and the use of Wi-Fi and 3G.
Additional storage
The product incorporates a useful 1GB SD card for storing photos, videos or music. The maximum allowed is 32 GB.
Connectivity
The phone has 3G and Wifi connectivity that allow the use of social networks and the internet. Bluetooth connectivity is also incorporated.
Internet and social networks
The phone incorporates access to the internet through 3G or Wifi so it allows browsing and the use of some social networks such as WhatsApp or Facebook.
It has an old version of WhatsApp that must be updated, for which it is necessary to activate the mobile data connection or add a Wi-Fi connection.
At this point it is important to note that for the cursor to appear on the screen it is necessary to press number 5 on the keyboard where the cursor arrow icon appears.
It can be a bit complex in general to move with the virtual mouse cursor but it is better than doing it without its activation since this option does not navigate well the buttons on the screen.
Photographs can be received and viewed through social networks.

Flashlight, calendar, alarm and others ...
The terminal includes an LED flashlight that has a dedicated side switch for turning it on.
In addition, the phone incorporates another series of interesting features such as a unit converter, world clock, stopwatch, notepad and task manager
Accessibility
The fact of including large keys with contrast has been taken into account. The text within the menus is relatively large with configurable size.
It does not have a screen reader.
It is compatible with HAC hearing aids.
Conclusion
The Telefunken TM360 Cosi telephone incorporates more advanced functions than other terminals intended for the elderly, including access to the internet and social networks. The terminal presents another series of very interesting functions for the elderly, such as the SOS button, charging station or numeric keypad. In general, the terminal contributes a lot, although it also has a higher price than other terminals. The main drawback lies in the complexity of interacting through its menus.
